Dear Readers and Coop Auditors ,
The much awaited ordinance amending the MCS Act 1960 extending the Audit completion due date, AGM date and Elections in Coop Societies is issued on 28.10.2020 .
Accordingly, the coop societies in MH shall get it's accounts audited for fy 2019-20 on or before 31st Dec.2020 as against 31st July 2020 .
The AGM for fy 2019-20 shall be conducted on or before 31st March 2021 as against 30.09.2020.
The existing committee is deemed to have continued till the regular elections of new committee where Elections to the societies could not be conducted for the reasons beyond the control of the societies .

ReplyDeleteOur Housing Society is situated at Gorai ( MHADA ) and Registrar has appointed a three member Administration Committee to look after the affairs of the Society till Elections are scheduled . Already one year has passed . How long should we wait

DeleteNitin Patil, good that administrator has appointed Admin committee to manage the affairs but still the holding of MC elections are on hold & deferred till 31st March 21. Certain society hv only administrator who takes on himself the power of administration and the holding of MC elections are not yet clear.

ReplyDeleteIf Chairman of CHS resigns for shortage of time/ unwillingness to continue, what are the options before MC members if they wish to continue and avoid administrator :
ReplyDelete- accept resignation & select another member as Chm
- accept resigation & keep post vacant for some time.
- all resign and go for election.
- Wait till March 2021 when elections are likely to be allowed.
- any other
